Title: A hitchhiker’s guide to Ontology
Abstract: In this talk, I will give an overview of our recent work in the area of knowledge bases. I will first talk about our main project, the YAGO knowledge base. In this context, I will present our work on the automatic correction of regular expressions. I will then talk about knowledge mining. This includes rule mining (finding semantic correlations in the knowledge base), as well as predicting the completeness of the data in a knowledge base. I will then present our work on automatically correcting errors in Wikidata, and on translating SPARQL queries to Unix Bash commands. Finally, I will talk about watermarking approaches to trace the provenance of ontological data, as well as about applications of knowledge bases in the domain of computational creativity and the digital humanities.

Fabian a notamment développé la base de connaissances YAGO, l'une des plus grandes bases de connaissances, ce qui lui a valu une mention honorable du prix de la thèse SIGMOD. Ses intérêts incluent l'extraction d'information, le raisonnement automatique et les bases de connaissances.
